FCC Forum Reminder

This Sunday, November 9 at 9:15 the topic is HOW ARE POST 9/11 VETERANS DIFFERENT FROM EARLIER VETS? WHAT CAN WE LEARN FROM THEM

To commemorate Veterans Day, our own Robert Miles will present characteristics of the new generation of veterans who served during long wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.  He will discuss what he has learned about their transitions from military service to civilian life that relate to our own lives, invite discussion about our response to them individually and as a church, and suggest resources for those who want more information.

Robert Miles is a veteran who served in the Army from 1967 to 1970, including a year in Vietnam.  Before retiring, he counseled veterans and other students at a community college in Connecticut.  He currently co-chairs the Veterans Committee of the national Career Development Association and volunteers at the Veterans Café at A-B Tech Community College.
